This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use ritorica.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We have written this policy in plain language and kept it specific to what this website actually does. It describes only ritorica.com. If you are a Ritorica customer, the handling of message data we process on your behalf is governed by your service agreement with us, not by this policy.
This website is operated by Ritorica, a business messaging provider connecting companies to their customers over SMS, WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, push and email. Ritorica is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
We operate from three offices:
You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@ritorica.eu.
We collect personal data only through the forms on this site. There are three, and this is exactly what each one records:
| Form | What it records |
|---|---|
| Request a demo the pop-up available on every page |
Your name, company name, work email, phone number (optional), the product you are interested in, your message (optional), the fact that you agreed to this policy, your IP address, and the date and time you submitted it. |
| Whitepaper download on Industry Insights |
Your name, company name, work email, company size, industry, which whitepaper you asked for, the fact that you agreed to this policy, your IP address, and the date and time you submitted it. |
| Newsletter signup in the footer |
Your email address, your IP address, and the date and time you subscribed. |
We record your IP address with each submission as a record of your consent, and to help us identify spam and abusive submissions.
Our team can add internal notes to a demo request or whitepaper enquiry — for example, a summary of a sales call. These notes are visible only to Ritorica staff.
We use your personal data only for the purposes below, and we always have a lawful reason for doing so.
| Purpose | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your demo request or sales enquiry | Your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us |
| Emailing you the whitepaper you asked for | Your consent — you asked us to send it |
| Sending you our newsletter | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Following up with you about our products after you contact us | Our legitimate interest in marketing to business contacts, subject to your right to object at any time |
| Understanding how the website is used, so we can improve it | Our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving our own website. You can opt out — see section 4 |
| Keeping the site secure and preventing spam and abuse | Our legitimate interest in protecting our systems and our other visitors |
| Meeting a legal or regulatory obligation | Compliance with a legal obligation |
We do not sell your personal data, we do not rent or trade it, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses very few, and none of them are for advertising:
| Cookie | What it does | Type |
|---|---|---|
csrftoken | Protects our forms against cross-site request forgery. Without it, the forms cannot work. | Strictly necessary |
django_language | Remembers whether you chose English or Arabic. | Strictly necessary |
sessionid | Set only if you log in to our administration area. Ordinary visitors never receive it. | Strictly necessary |
_ga, _ga_* | Set by Google Analytics to tell one visitor from another and to measure how the site is used. | Analytics |
You can stop Google Analytics from collecting anything about your visit, in any of these ways:
None of these will stop the website working. Only the four cookies above are used at all, and the three strictly necessary ones carry no analytics data.
Analytics was added to this site on 2 September 2026, so we hold no analytics data at all from before that date. Google explains how it handles this data in the Google Privacy Policy.
One further note: our Contact page embeds a Google Map. If you open that page, Google may set its own cookies in your browser. No other page on this site embeds third-party content.
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need in order to run our business, and only for the purposes described in this policy. Each of them is required to protect your data and to use it only on our instructions.
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| amoCRM customer relationship management | Demo requests and whitepaper enquiries | Where our sales team receives and works on your enquiry |
| Our email provider | The contents of emails we send and receive | Delivering the emails we send you, and receiving your replies |
| Google Analytics and Maps | Website usage data; and, on our Contact page only, the fact that you loaded a map | Measuring how the site performs, and showing where our offices are |
| Gcore content delivery network | Technical request data, including IP addresses | Serving the site quickly worldwide and absorbing attacks |
| Our hosting provider | The data stored by the site | Running the server the website lives on |
We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If Ritorica is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will tell you before it happens.
We operate from Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh, and the providers listed in section 5 operate internationally. Your personal data may therefore be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from countries outside your own, including countries outside the European Economic Area.
Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards for the transfer — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision covering the destination country, or the provider's own approved transfer mechanism. If you would like to know which safeguard applies to a particular transfer, email us and we will tell you.
We keep personal data only for as long as we actually need it.
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Demo requests and sales enquiries | Up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted |
| Whitepaper enquiries | Up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted |
| Newsletter subscriptions | Until you unsubscribe. We then keep a record that you unsubscribed, so that we do not email you again by mistake |
| Server logs | A short rolling period for security and troubleshooting |
You can ask us to delete your data sooner than this at any time — see section 8.
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:
To exercise any of these, email info@ritorica.eu. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge. We may need to verify your identity first, so that we never disclose your data to someone else pretending to be you.
To stop receiving our newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, or just email us and we will do it for you.
If you are in the EU or EEA and you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold:
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If we ever suffer a breach that puts your rights at risk, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Ritorica sells to businesses. This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, email us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your personal data, we will do more than that — we will make it clear on the site, and where we are required to, we will ask for your consent again.
